Hello,

I currently have some spare cash and i'm thinking of upgrading my PC(Listed below),and so my choises are:

a)Get a new CPU(Core i-3 3220 -100$),New MB(Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V -60$),and finally 4gb of DDR3 RAM -35$ which would set me back around 200$

or

b)Get a new Motherboard(Gigabyte P35-DS3L -50$),use the spare Q9300 i have and also re-use the ram,use the remainder of the money for example too get an SSD,and maybe replace the stock cooling.

What do you think would be the best option for me for the next 2 years or so of gaming and casual use(BF3,WoT,War thunder... etc..etc)

My current System specs:
350W FSP group PSU
(stock cooling)E2220 O.C 3Ghz CPU
Asus P5B-MX MB
4Gb DDR2 667 RAM
320Gb storage (160x2) HDD
Gtx 550Ti

Not really you have a VERY old quad core. your processor prob barely meets minimum requirement for most games and doesn't come anywhere near recommended.

regardless of cores the haswell processors will be way better. Also you are running very slow RAM. getting 1600MHZ DDR3 will be a huge improvement.
