Anyone know why my graphics card keeps on crashing?

Had this problem for three days and it's getting on my nerves. I can play a game for about 5 minutes and then it crashes, my screen goes black and an annoying sound loops. It's like the graphics card just stops becuase my tv says no signal after it crashes.

I've tried reinstalling windows, I've used old drivers, I've messed with the settings, I've lowered the res (mass effect didnt crash last night. I tried lowering the res on warframe on steam but it crashes), that doesnt work. When I look inside I can see a thin layer of dust on both boards. I've even tried turning the SLI option on but nothing happens. I've had this problem before and I fixed it by updating to the latest driver but I'm using the latest driver now. I've also just ordered a can of compressed air. Anyone know any fixes until I get the can?

Full specs, please.
Does indeed sound like an overheating issue, so download and use HWinfo to check the temperatures.
Turn Vsync on in the drivers, it'll stop the graphics cards racing away at more than 60 FPS, which just generates heat and makes them noisy anyway.
If you have Afterburner, EVGA Precision or similar tweaking software installed, underclock the graphic card/s to slow them down and reduce their heat output still further, if you have AMD cards you can do this through the 'overdrive' feature found under the 'performance' tab in the control centre.

Thanks for your reply.

AMD FX (tm)-600 Six Core Processor 3.30Ghz
8GB RAM
64 bit Operating System
OS Windows 7
Two GeForce GTX 550Ti

I spoke with a guy from Nvidia last night and he suggested refitting them back in again but I discovered something. I took my hdmi cable out and put it into the second graphics card and for the first time in ages, I could hear the fan spin. I played warframe for about 30 minutes and it never crashed. I used to have a fanspeed software and it would tell me that both fans were spinning and the temp for my first card was bounce around 40c. Perhaps the fan I could hear was my second card.
