I have a problem, i think what is my motherboard or the temperature display isn't correct, when i use my computer on power saving, my Temperatures are on 31ºc the Processor and the MB 30ºC so it's ok, when i use turbo mode, my motherboard get's on 34ºc and the processor sometimes reach 47ºc (stock cooler), but the problem is when i enable maximum perfomance but i don't stress the processor the computer shuts down without be overheat or when i play videogames or i see videos gets 40ºc - 39ºc and gets shutted down, what should be? i did some screens of the temperature with differents program to see if is a problem or what is happening.

For FX processors, use the new AMD Over Drive and watch the thermal margin instead. http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4645-amd-overdrive.ht...

But your temps should not be causing the system to shut down. Even if the processor reached high temps, it would simply throttle back its performance to reduce heat until it was within safe range. You might have other issues. What is the make/model of your PSU?

Speedfan and HWinfo has issues with AMD in some cases. Like Your Max. temp says 263°C You would smell that before you could get a screenshot. I think HWinfo64 works well. Your motherboard is good maybe not for higher Overclocks for FX8350s. What else is happening, like is the any other crashes? is your GPU cool enough during games?

i don't overclock, it doesn't shutdown only playing, but seeing facebook / videos or standby shuts down too. my gpu is 40°c

Might try a different psu , 480 watts with an 8350 and a decent gpu could be taxing the psu . Just a thought .

Look at windows event viewer look for errors , see if anything stands out , might give an idea as to where to look . Could be a bad gpu driver , flaky psu or some windows screw up .

Keep in mind that AMD Over Drive is displaying core Thermal Margin, not core temps. So, 54C TM is actually only about 26C core temp. Good for idle. But what is important is the TM at load conditions; when your processor is at 100% usage.

I'm pretty sure that your shut down issue is your PSU. Check the nameplate on its side. If I'm thinking of the correct one, it will say that it only has a single +12V rail rated at a lowly 18A. For a 125W FX-8350 and even a 40W gfx card like yours, that is too small.

you are right, i only have a single 12V , i use a Thermaltake Butterfly PurePower 480w , i'll buy one new at 750w to test, Thanks for your answer.

You don;t need 750 watts , you need QUALITY 500 -550 should be plenty , unless you double up te GPU . Good Antec , Corsair , or Seasonic will do you right .
Good luck
