the fx 4300 wont be able to keep up with the r9 270 and will bottleneck the r9 290x even worse .. i would suggest a fx 6300 or better

The 4300 will keep up with the R9 270 but will bottleneck in situations where the game needs a higher amount of cpu horsepower than the 4300 can provide. But again it is no slouch go with the R9 270 but if you have money for a R9 290x you could upgrade to an 8320e and the R9 270 which you could get for like $169 :)

if you could find the extra cash to get a more reliable cpu such as the fx 6300 then i would recommend you get the 290x as it would be the better of the two cards and will be more future friendly and last alot longer in terms of handling games .. you can get a nice 3 to 4 years out of a r9 290x while you will get probably 2 years from the 270x ..
