I have been looking at GeForce GTX 750 video cards, I can get one that is overclocked by an additional 200MHz, and its cheaper by $20. It comes stock that way. Probably more heat is produced, perhaps a shorter life cycle. Then there is the same video card with an extra 1GB ram thats a total of 2gb of ram, for an extra couple $10's. Just wondering what is worth increasing?

More about : higher

I would go for the extra memory (GB). You can overclock the card if you wish, so that you get the added 200MHz for free :)

I'd say at that overall level of performance the additional 200MHz in clock speed would be more useful than the additional RAM.

That GPU won't work well for a 4K, 3x1080P displays, or ultra setting on new games - which is why I am comfortable with the 1GB ram.

Actually even for a single 1080p monitor, you still want 2GB vram. 200Mhz is not a huge performance increase. Definitely go for 2GB models.
