I recently purchased a LG 23mp55 IPS monitor. Unfortunately it had sever ghosting issues and i ended up RMA'ing it almost immediately on Newegg. I play alot of mmorpgs and just recently buit a new computer with a 280x R9 gpu. I currently use my computer in a well lit room and im angled with a window so a glossy monitor is not advised. Im currently having issues finding the right monitor for me though. Could i get some help (by help im not asking for "theory crafting" as in i can also look up random things and say "this sounds good}. Im looking for good answeres, wether or not they are from personal experience or hard facts.

Size Requirement: 23-25inch
Full 1080p or Better
Black or Red molding prefured

I do plan on using more than 1 monitor in the future, so having one with a slim design is also ideal but not required. I plan to crossifre 2 280x so i can set up a nice 3-4 panel display

I am a graphic designer, It has to look good on pictures as well as games.

Looking to spend 140-175$ on this. Any help is much appreciated.

So far ive found http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014345
and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236175&cm_re=VS238H-P-_-24-236-175-_-Product to be good choices. But are there better?

I should also mention i have plans to use this for my animation/design work as much or more than gaming. Ive had a bad time finding monitors that dont have blurry colors or faded blacks. Something that has a decent contrast between the colors and darks is really needed in my field of work.

As far as games, im currently playing Archeage wich is a very nice game on max settings. But any ghosting or inverted ghosting really gimps my work.

If you really take gaming seriously, I recommend you go for a 144hz monitor but I would only recommend it IF you can play your games at 144 fps + since you wouldn't be able to take advantage of that monitor.
But 144hz monitors are $300 most of the time however the two monitors you have chosen are great and they are both by great brands and will fit your needs.

PS : The two monitors are EXTACTLY the same since the panel is made by the SAME company.

Well currently. The computer ive buit is running a 4.7ghz Vishera on a FX990 board. running 8 gigs of 1866 ram and a r9 280x gpu. Im going through a claim with UPS because they dropped it upon shipping but once its fixed i hope that my graphics card will be good enough for the 144 range. And you mentioned the panels are both the same. I noticed one has 12m:1 contrast the other 50m:1. also 1 is a 1ms and the other a 2ms. Should i be looking more into an IPS panel? I play FPS's but not enough to major it, But the mmos i play do have alot of pvp content in them.

The most important thing i need is Display quality. As im a digital artist and currently going for school for digital 3d modeling, animation and graphic deisign. Id like a display that really shows vibrant quality in that aspect. I have a LG G2 phone and the display is amazing.. what do i have to buy to achieve that on a monitor lol

Also regarding IPS. The first monitor i bought was the LG 1080p IPS 5ms. But the video quality looked too...whats the best way to put it.... Scratchy? I found it hard to read letters like the display was off. And every word and icon and everything had like a white aura around it. Similair to ghosting and inversed ghosting

Okay, if you really want display quality. Looking at ASUS's ProArt series monitors might be a good option if you care about color reproduction a lot but I don't think it will be able to fit your budget (I don't live in the US so I might be incorrect).

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014378&nm_mc=EMC-EXPRESS101114&cm_mmc=EMC-EXPRESS101114-_-EMC-101114-Index-_-LCDMonitors-_-24014378-L01D

? Between the two i cant decide wich to get. I need something with nice colors and Absolutely no Ghosting. The size of the 27 is very nice but the contrast ratio seems alot less than the Asus model gives

Anyone any help?
