I have a Windows 7 PC that I already use S-Video to stream Netflix, YouTube, LAN videos, ect. to my TV. I bought a BluRay player, but I didn't realize that it was HDMI. I don't have any HDMI ports on my TV or my Amp. I really didn't want to drop another $80-100 to get a converter or new Amp, let alone a whole new TV. So, I figured I could check into redirecting the input of the HDMI to the output of the S-Video or at least the screen. Is this possible? Could I use the HDMI-in to display on the screen or redirect to the S-Video? Or would I need a capture card?

Unless your GPU is truly HDMI-in (doubtful), you will need a capture card of some sort.

Last I recall, all the components needed for viewing Blu-Ray content needed to be HDCP compliant. Even with an HDMI input, the S-Video output would not work.
