I would certainly pick the Cooler Master over the other no-name supply. Neither is a very good supply. Really your 500W should labeled as, at most, a 430W, the other is barely passable as a 200W supply.

Both are garbage and using them would actually put the system at risk of being damaged.

I am afraid the answer is neither. Both to put it rarther bluntly don't belong in a PC. As previously stated, you are more likely to put your system at risk by using them.

If I were you, I would suggest investing a little money into your PSU.

Examples would be a Corsair 500CX which can be bought for £40.

Corsair is just an example, and a damn fine one at that.

Please invest in a decent PSU. I did 4 years ago and I am still using it on my latest rig :)

While the CX is better than the 2 psus listed by the OP it's still not a very good unit. They use cheaper capacitors that have a high failure rate. You'd be better off with a tier 1 or 2(a rb) unit from this list.

Never go cheap on a psu, ever.
