I recently installed an SSD and reinstalled windows 7 64bit to it. It was working fine up until it did a system reset and suddenly started booting from DVI. I am using a hdmi cable to im not sure why this is happening. It startes off with HDMI and as i get passed the windows loading screen i get a blank image and it says DVI in the top right corner ( In other words its automatically switched to DVI ) When i try to change the source of my monitor it still says its on HDMI and my monitor does not support DVI only VGA. Also i should mention that it only stays in HDMI when i boots from safe mode. When it boots form normal it does as i mention above, If anyone knows anything about this it would be greatly appreciated because i need to do a project !!

HDMI and DVI use the exact same digital video signal. But if your monitor only has HDMI and VGA input ports, I can't see why it would display DVI.
