Kingston HyperX SSD isn't being detected.

I recently rebuilt my system (new motherboard + cpu), but when I go to install Windows, my SSD isn't detected. Windows doesn't detect it, and if I go into the BIOS the motherboard thinks that nothing is plugged into the SATA port. This happens whether the SSD is the only thing plugged in or if there are other devices there as well.

Right now I'm running Windows off my HDD which is currently plugged in alongside the undetected SSD.

My motherboard is an ASRock z97 Extreme4, and the SSD is a Kingston HyperX 240gb (I can't get the exact model number because it isn't detected).

How can I fix?

I know thus far you have: swapped SATA ports, triple checked cables(both power and sata), etc etc. Find another computer to see if the drive is detected(if not, likely bad drive..... if so, likely MB issue)

I know the SSD was working fine before I upgraded the computer, it had Windows booting off it and everything and I had 0 issues. Is it possible that it died during the upgrade somehow?

See if , in the bios, the sata ports are in raid or ahci mode. If you are not running a raid then set it to AHCI. If you are running raid then you might have to enter the raid bios and do whatever needs to be done to pass the drive thru. Some have a setting to pass it thru, some have to have it setup as a single drive raid 1...
