In partition manager there is this partition that is 10GBs. IT says that it has 10GBs free and is 100% empty. All it says is "Healthy (Primary Partition)" and nothing else, anyone know what this could possibly be?

There is no drive letter for it, and this is a home built system.

Is it an SSD? Perhaps it supports "Over Provisioning" feature to optimize lifespan of the drive
Other reasons;
- could be a pre-allocated partition for hibernation
- auto allocated partition for windows recovery partition

It is not an SSD, it's a HDD.

Win7 creates 3 partitions; 1) MBR (Master Boot Record) 2) 10GB Recovery Partition 3) Primary Partition - to account for rest of the space for your uses

Your information is incorrect.

1. The MBR is not a partition.
2. Windows only creates a 100MB reserved partition containing the recovery console, boot manager, and BitLocker scratchpad.
