I love my computer to bits, but when I bought my processor it came in a bundle with a number of things; one of these things was a motherboard. The Gigabyte 78lmt-s2p, it is not a bad board, but it's barebones. I need a power fan control, more sata connections, and another pci express 2.0 x16 or x4. I've owned the computer for about a year now, since then I've added a nice water cooler, and I want me money out of it! :p

So I've done some Googling and found 2 board I like under the $100 range that can overclock, here are my options:

Please do tell me if you think a other motherboard is better, i've placed my options based on reviews and specifications.

Thanks, -JP

This is what I would consider the best 970 chipset board for overclocking -

I have the EOL version (970A-UD3), I have an overclocked FX 6300 @ 4.5GHz currently, but I have had it at 4.7GHz stable where all the temperatures where fine and I only took it down because of the fan noise lol.

I went with what you guys thought, I got the Gigabyte 970A-UD3P. I found out they had some at the Microcenter near me on sale! I was surprise how small my old board is compared to this huge thing! I've had to wipe my entire hard drive in order to use the board, but have overclocked it to 4.3Ghz. This is a great board for the money! I had a little trouble getting my H55 Corsair near the CPU Power connector, but everything went fine.

Yeah, the UD3's are big and heavy :D  if that 800MHz overclock is at stock voltage, that is awesome! (Can't take a look at your pics right now as I'm on a mobile lol).
