Hello,

I installed a new motherboard which is the exact same make/model as my previous one. I took everything apart, removed the CPU and heatsink and installed everything correctly onto the new motherboard.

When I turn the PC on, it boots up, but no signal goes to the monitor and it sounds like the hard drive stops spinning (stops making noise).

I took everything apart and put my old motherboard back in, and everything works fine again.

What would be the problem with the new motherboard? Would the video connection be bad or would something cause the hard drive to not load/be read?

Thanks!
