Capacitor changing color, darker color that the others

A two week old motherboard has a series of 8 capacitors that go to 8 chokes to the VRM. Out of the 8 capacitors only one seems to be getting darker and changing color. Is this a sign that the capacitor is going bad or getting too much power? I've included pictures. Hopefully you can make out the capacitor I am talking about. Is this something I should be worried about? The pictures dont do it justice, but the one capacitor is considerably darker than the others

Can't view your pics w/o permission.

Yeah, one cap is definitely doing more work than the rest. Or it is defective and overheating. Might be a good time to contact the MB manufacturer and ask for advice. Ask them if you should RMA it to them for repair/replacement.

I changed permissions of the picture so now anyone should be able to take a look. Sorry about that

I'm not so sure that isn't just the color of the metal they used manufacturing that particular cap. Run a CPU-stressing app or pgm and carefully feel the neighboring caps to see if there is a noticeable difference in temp of that one. Did you notice if it was the same color as the rest in the beginning?

I'm pretty sure it was the same color at the beginning. I'm the kind of person that notices those things cause I'm just weird like that. As for touching the caps while running a stress test I am a little reluctant to do that. I dont want to get electrocuted or short my motherboard. I am in the 30 day window where I can return it to the store for a new one. I just don't really want to go through the process of taking everything apart and bringing it in. I may just have to suck it up and do it anyway

OK. If it is still new and under warranty, that is the best thing to do for peace of mind. If it were me, I'd probably be wondering how long before I loose that cap too. If the color actually changed since you started using it, then there's a good chance it is overheating for some reason. It may be the cap itself is defective... or it may mean the VMR it is related to is over-volting. The latter would mean possible damage to the CPU.
And from what little I can see in the pics, it looks like you have a very expensive build. Wouldn't want to ruin that.

I ended up swapping it out. It was a pain in the a*s taking everything apart but in the end it was well worth the peace of mind. Thanks for your input
