I finally was able to get my display to boot and login in. But now my when I try to change my display resolution, I'm not able to do it. Even the right click, screen resolution is locked and I'm unable to select a new resolution? What should I do?

It sounds like you don't have the drivers for a GPU installed....what does device manager show for your GPU?

I had to disable the GTX 780 from the device manager in order for the display to show up. Before I had I black screen/ no signal. Also in the device manager, my monitor isn't even showing up as device, just my GTX 780

Power down, remove the GTX780. Power up, and make sure that your onboard graphics are the only drivers installed (you may have to uninstall from the Control Panel.

Next, power down, install the GPU and go into the BIOS (you may have to remain connected to the mobo video). Make sure the video is set to PCI as the primary adapter, and save your settings.

You can try to use the GPU now - see if you are getting output on the video. If so, install the drivers from NVIDIA's site, and all should be good. It may require one last reboot after installing the drivers.
