I've gone without Skype for around two weeks now due to errors with the registry keys. I've asked around on different forum sites for answers, but none of them helped me so far.

The answers led me to trying programs that had no use. Another answer said that my problem was from DDoS and Trojan Horse attacks against my PC (this was on another forum. I can link the specific thread if needed):

Try installing the xd://system_database_system drive into the key log xd that way you can avoid any issues arising in the distant future with trojans and ddos.

I have no idea what a "xd://system_database system drive" or what a "log xd" is.

If it is indeed relevant, I have been DDoSed via people picking up my IP address via Skype resolvers around two times now. I am not aware of any viruses being installed onto my PC via Skype, however.

Whenever I try to install Skype, I get this error:

I went onto regedit and CCleaner to assist me in clearing out the registries, but to no avail:

I've constantly deleted the "Missing Startup Software" issue from the registry error list on CCleaner, but it keeps coming back whenever I attempt to re-install Skype:

I deleted the startup from CCleaner's Startup processes list, but it has returned. Because of this, I assume, whenever I try to re-install Skype, I get the SkypeInstallFull instead of the SkypeSetup. However, this is not a "full" setup at all. It only starts to install half of the program before I get the error in the third screenshot only seconds later:

I tried installing Skype version 6 and that didn't work.

The MSI installer/uninstaller tool didn't work as Skype isn't even installed on my PC.

I honestly have no idea what to do. I'm really beginning to become annoyed at the fact that Skype on my PC isn't working anymore.

I appreciate all the help, really, I do.

Is there anything else I can try? The generic solutions and CCleaner hasn't worked.
