Basically, I need a graphics card but im stuck deciding what to go for.
It's going to be either a Sapphire Dual-X R9 280 for £121 brand new (flubit).
Or get a used Asus/MSI R9 280x for around 150-160 off ebay.
I know people wouldn't usually recommend 2nd hand graphics cards, especially the 280x as it's the most used for cryptocurrency mining but if one could be found with a years use that hasn't been used for cryptocurrency mining would you go for the 280x for £150 or the r9 280 for £121?
Would usually go for something new but do you guys think the performance gap is worth the extra £30 and used?
Could go all out on a 970 but id rather wait until I see the effects of PS4 and Xbox One VRAM architecture on PC gaming and graphics cards before I invest a large amount into a card.
