Hi Guys,

I have a HP XW8200 workstation with GeForce 520GT in it. A forum member advised me to purchase a GTX 560 ti as cheap but decent upgrade. I have the card now but installing is causes 6 long beep codes which I believe is a GPU fault.

i've been frantically researching what I can and have seen a few people say that some cards arent quite compatible but if you change your BIOS boot setting from UEFI to Legacy it should work. I;ve seen a few cases of success. However I don't appear to have this option in my bios which is "786B8 v2.10, 31/05/2006" and I believe that to be the latest.

Please can anybody help, otherwise I've just thrown 70quid down the drain on eBay.

Thanks,

Paul

Dont think UEFI or legacy have anything to do with videocards. Those are related to partitions / windows 7 and 8. And systems that support UEFI BIOS's
