My Lenovo Y510P with Win 8.1 Pro won't display external hard drives in windows explorer despite them showing up in the device manager. So far it has rejected both usb 2.0 and 3.0 external hard drives but will show usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 flash drives. I've downloaded the most recent version of the drivers that Lenovo provides for the computer but the problem remains the same. I would like to know if there is a fix that doesn't involve using the recovery partition to do a factory reset.
