Hi guys, first time poster here. I recently bought a barebones kit from tigerdirect. and i think im having TEMPERATURE issues

processor: AMD Fx8320 8-core 3.5 Ghz (not overclock)
motherboard: MSI 970a-g43
Power supply: Ultra LSP series v2 professional 450 atx
Case: NZXT Source 210
HDD: WD 500gb
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD6450
CPU cooler fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo
Case Fans: 2 Noctua NF-P12 120mm. 1 in the front for intake and 1 on top exhaust, plus the standard fan that came with the case in the back as exhaust.

Ok, once i put it together, MSI bios II software says CPU temperature 46-47 C just with google chrome open and 5 tabs open, thats it.
Speed fan 4.50 says
TEMP1: 44C (with a green check mark next to it)
TEMP2: 52C (with a fire next to it)
TEMP3: 36C (with a down arrow)
HD0: 34C (with a down arrow)
GPU 50C (with a fire next to it)
CORE: 29C (with a down arrow)

All this with just web browsing with chrome and a 10.9% CPU usage according to speedfan.
Is 83 F in Miami at the moment... yeah pretty hot, but i have a fan on in the house.

this is driving me nuts! since i installed the noctuas i havent seen any chances in temps. Are the temperatures alright? im a beginner putting together a computer and i need help.
By the way, i installed the Hyper 212 evo twice to make sure i was doing it right (cleaning the thermal paste in between installation and everything)

HELP GUYS! thanks in advance

Make sure the thermal paste is applied correctly, when you put on the hyper 212 evo, did the paste and the cpu go over perfectly? Moreover, what happens when you run a stress test, how hot are your temps? (Make sure to not cross 62C core temp so you don't break your cpu or 70C socket) Your heat sensor may not be working properly, or the software, try different software and see what happens.

I wouldn't trust speedfan with the FX processors. Run AMD Over Drive and tell me what the Thermal Margin is at idle and at load (like running prime95).

Are you sure you got the 212 EVO installed properly? It can be kind of tricky. Are the 4 mounting screws tightened all the way down until they bottom out?

i believe i have installed the 212 evo properly but i cant be 100% sure since i only did it twice in my life. I tightened the screws to the point where the mounting screws almost moved, but the didnt.
i just ran AMD overdirve and under CPU status, between 46 and 51 C on each core

If that was at idle, it is fine for thermal margin. But load TM is the most important.

I just ran prime95 and AMD overdrive, at 100% the temp margin dropped to 26.9 - 28 C
and speedfan temps where al over the place
temp1; 53c
temp2: 79c
temp3: 36c
HD0: 35c
GPU: 53c
Core:42C

Those are good thermal margins for load. Nothing to worry about. You did a good job installing the cooler ;-)
Ever since AMD dropped their K10 line of CPUs and went with the Bulldozer modules, reading accurate core temps with 3rd party software has been... well, flaky. That's why (I guess) AMD redesigned their AOD pgm to display core thermal margin now instead of direct core temp. (Thermal Margin is the distance left until the Processor begins to throttle.)
Any time you can stay in the double digits, you are fine.

dude your are a saviour! thanks for the help. So, just to be sure, this temps are ok, like good for the temp in miami (and my house) or ok "could be better"?
also, should i check periodically to make sure they stay the same?

I would trust AOD without a doubt. The throttle temp is usually around 80C. So that would indicate your cores are around 52-53C. Excellent temps for running prime95. I doubt most games will run the FX-8320 at 100% usage for anything more than an occasional peak.

Btw, I found that Core Temp seems to be fairly accurate for reading actual core temps on my FX-8350: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
But DON'T click on the big "Download" link or you'll get bloatware. Use the "more downloads" link and pick the stand-alone for your OS. Then unpack it to a folder somewhere and make a shortcut to the .EXE file on your desktop if you want easy access to it.

Good load temps. But see what I mean about the FX processors temp display being flaky? 15C at idle (59F) is probably below ambient temp. That's impossible. I'm even suspicions of 40C at 100% load. So I'd stick with AOD for all thermal margins. I don't have my FX-8350 put together right now, because I have its motherboard RMA'd back to Gigabyte. Otherwise I'd do a little comparing with you.
