I'm trying to decide on whether I should get the R9 280x XFX Double Dissipation or the GTX 770 MSI Twin Frozr 2gb.They both seem like they have the same performance and cost.If anyone could help me decide which one is better I woul really appreciate it.

GTX 770 wins 70%+ of the games it's been benchmarked with. Having said that theyre aren't major wins. Most games are within 5fps of eachother.

If you can find the cards at the same price, GTX 770 is the better card

GTX 770
The R9 280x is not faster then the GTX 770. They share different moments depending on what card the particular game is optimized for. There are more games which are optimized for nvidia cards then amd. Also the gtx 770 uses less power whilst achieving the same performance as the 280x (if we don't look at the fact that the 770 performs better in more games then the 280x).

280x all day! It's usually cheaper, and you get a little better performance. In Metro: last light, the 280x is not very far behind the GTX 780.

It really depends on what games you play, because they are really pretty close. Some games the 280x is better, others the 770 wins. I personally really like the Mantle feature of AMD cards. I would just get whichever is cheaper.
