I used pcpartpicker but i am still a little bit hesitant about the compatibility and would like an expert opinion.
I'm building this with the intent to SLI and maybe overclock in the future.
Any extra thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

You may have to update the BIOS before it supports that CPU to 0501. Since thats what it needs to support that CPU

Core i7-4790K (4.0Ghz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, HD Graphic, 88W, rev.C0) ALL 0501. This is the 2nd to last BIOS on the ASUS site

You should be able to do this with ASUS USB BIOS Flashback

Is this something that is hard to do? From what i gather you download the update, put it on the flash drive, and plug it into the mobo's select USB slot, then press the button and wait for it to stop flashing? Do i have it correct?
Sorry for the obvious noob questions but this is the first time i am building a PC and i am a bit nervous :D

Thats exactly what you do. Dont forget to extract it first.

You may have to rename the rom file. The manual may tell you what to rename it to. I dont have that myself. tho.

I dont know which USB BIOS flashback option it has.

There are 2 lots of mobos that use it. Either with a button on the back of the mobo. Or you plug the flash drive into whatever USB 2 port, then hold reset for 3 secs, wait for it to finish flashing

lol no probs thats the good thing about ASUS mobos they're easy to fix if you kind of kill it

Thats what Crashfree BIOS is for

You're the 1st person I've replied to that actually knows what USB BIOS flashback is and how to use it :bounce:

Hahaha i did a little bit of research on it a while ago when i was considering mobo's.
I don't have first person knowledge on how to use it, hence why i wanted to double check with you. :D
