Recently had to return my PC to factory settings and had to reinstall everything, including my graphics card (GeForce GTX 660 if it makes a difference). I installed the card into the tower but I can't plug the display cable into the graphics card because it doesn't get a signal and I just get a black screen. I installed the drivers yet the PC isn't recognizing the graphics card. Under display adapters it just says "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" which I assume is the graphics accelerator that comes default with the machine.

Remove psu from wall socket. Remove your battery from your motherboard. Hold power on for 30seconds. Re insert battery to motherboard. Plug psu back into wall. Boot computer, enter your bios. You're going to need to find somewhere where you can change your primary card to the GTX 660. What motherboard do you have?

Take note, I am not a PC expert by any means. If I even attempted half of what you just told me, I'd probably end up with a damaged machine.

If you're not going to attempt what I've told you, there is no point in opening a thread here. Take your pc in to a store to be serviced.
Now if you're going to man the F*** up, tell me what motherboard you have so I can see if I can guide you. lol
