there are 2 different types of liquid cooling: closed loop system and custom loop system. a closed loop system is a all-in-one piece of equipment that offers the benefit of liquid cooling without all the hassle. a custom loop requires you to purchase all the required equipment and the job of figuring out the best way to set up the cooled liquid loop. The basic parts would be a radiator, fans, a liquid reservoir, water pump, tubing, waterblocks for each of the parts you wish to liquid cool, and tube fittings for the waterblocks. The liquid does require maintenance, think of it like a fish tank. a tiny piece of 0.999 silver (a natural anti-bacterial) can be purchased to be put into the liquid to help cut back on maintenance.

the best way to see how to set one up and to learn is to look up you tube videos. i recommend LinusTechTips channel.
