I have a really tight budget for this build, and at the same time, it'll be my first "real" build. Any way to make this cheaper? And are all these parts compatible? Any tips also appreciated!

CPU: AMD FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition ($179.99)
CPU Cooler: Corsair Air Series AF120 LED Quiet Edition High Airflow Fan Twin Pack - Red ($23.97)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AMD 970 & SB950 ATX DDR3 800 AMD - AM3+ Motherboard ($118.00)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 ($75.24)
Storage: Seagate 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive SATA 6Gbps 64MB Cache 2.5-Inch ($91.99)
Video Card: MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 1GB MSI Refurbished ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Compact ATX ($59.99)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS ($65.89)
Optical Drive: Samsung SATA 1.5 Gb-s Optical Drive ($14.99)
Operating System: Windows 8.1 System Builder OEM DVD 64-Bit ($92.00)
Monitor: ASUS VS207D-P 19.5-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor ($91.66)
Sound Card: ASUS XONAR DG Headphone Amp & PCI 5.1 Audio Card ($26.99)
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-LINK TG-3269 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit PCI Network Adapter/Card ($24.99)

This all comes out to about $900. I would really rather not spend that much on this.

Have you thought of the SteamOS ? It's a free open source Linux based OS. You can do your usual web browsing and games. Do take in into consideration.

Here's a build I came up with.

You won't be able to overclock the CPU, but you get a better GPU and wireless adapter. I also managed to fit a 1920 x 1080 monitor. This buidl would run most games at high settings.

Thanks! I'll probably use this unless I can somehow find a way to make it cheaper, but I don't see how that could happen. And I try to stay away from overclocking things anyway, so that's not a problem.

Do you know if the the motherboard in that list include an integrated sound card? Or do I need to get one separately?
