I'm planning to build a miniITX gaming build to replace my more than 5 year old PC. I started looking at mobos, for example these:
- Asrock H77M-ITX - 84 EUR
- Asrock H61MV-ITX - 42 EUR

The first one is twice as expensive but when I look at their features I don't see any difference. So what makes the first one much more expensive? I'm a simple user - I don't do OC, I don't need super quality sound, RAIDs etc. Please sell me the first mobo or convince me that I'm good with the second one.

Basically different chipset, SATA3 connectors (which are very much essential for optimum performance with SSDs) and better power phasing (doesn't matter much). If you're likely to not use SSD in future, then get the cheaper one. Also, why to get 2nd/3rd gen MoBos in first place when 4th gen (H87/97/B85) are about the same in price and newer?

SSD is important for me, I'm planning to use it - thank you! I haven't followed hardware news for the last decade and am noobish. As for gens - yes I would like the newer the better, thanks again.

you can still uses ssd's with sata 2, they will just be slightly slower.

Yep SSD will work with SATA 2, but with 300MB/s cap, vs 600MB/s cap of SATA 3. This is what I was actually refering to:

Not a phenomenal difference, but I'd prefer 3 over 2 because of the data cap, especially for SSDs.

Thanks for the info guys. What do you think about this one: Msi B85I (http://datori.dataleks.lv/lv/item/motherboards-matespla...)?

I would pair it with these parts for my new pc:
- Intel Core i5-4670
- Kingston DIMM 8GB PC12800 DDR3/HYPERX BLACK
- SSD Intel Intel 530 2.5" 120GB SATA3
- Corsair CX 500W, 80 Plus Bronze
- THERMALTAKE Core V1 Mini ITX

I would use my current Geforce 650ti for now.

The MoBo looks good, 4XSATA3 ports. Will be good for the current build. Go for it!

NOTE: Please replace the PSU, CX is poor quality, and not advisible. Cheap caps, which melt on high loads. I'd recommend this, from the website, saw CX 500 is 53 Euros, this, at 60, is much better quality:

Thanks for the note! I will replace the PSU. I wanted modular though - will it be hassle to work the cables in a miniITX case? Seasonic modular ones in my site have unfriendly price though.

Yes cables do present a problem in small cases, M12II is modular, 80 Euros:

Do you have any other sites from where you might want to try? Antec/ SeaSonic/ EVGA/ XFX all make good quality PSUs.

I took a look in my country's (Latvia) other biggest tech stores and didn't find Antec/EVGA/XFX. This Dataleks.lv is my local store where I will order all parts except the case cos they don't have it. I will go with Seasonic M12II, extra 20 euro is not a big price to pay for a build that I will use for at least 5 years. Thanks for all your help! :)
