i have a gtx 260 (old card i know) but a windows notification came up that said there is something wrong with my DX9 ATI Radeon/ATI Fire series. it said there are something wrong with my drivers.
i don't know where this came up from but i think it's the onboard graphics on my motherboard.
could someone plz confirm, my motherboard is a k9agm2 and just in case my cpu is Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6400+

but about a week ago i got slowdowns on my 260 ranging from 10 to 40 fps on games like need for speed rivals (10 fps loss) and borderlands 2 (40 fps loss).

Solution
Look in your programs installed list in the control panel and uninstall any AMD drivers you find, and catalyst control center. Then go to NVIDIA's main website and get current drivers for the 260.

Sounds like your on board is sometimes being prioritized instead of your GPU for games. Also, make sure your monitors are plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. Some people make that mistake and don't even realize.
