ATM i'm owning a E5200 x2 processor made by intel and 4 gigs of RAM. I heard that it's recommended to use 6 gigs of RAM to run a 64-bit OS ( i'm looking for Win7 64-bit OS ) and i was wondering if there would be any performance issues if i install it. ATM i'm running smoothly a Win7 32-bit Ultimate. Btw, does my CPU supports 64-bit OS ?

You can, but I don't see why you would want to.

It does support it, but going x64 is only worth if you actually use (not just have) more than 3.5-4gb of ram. Or if you need to use some 64 bit only software, like vegas pro 13.
