Hey folks!!

I am really tired with macs, linux machines and laptops. I have been using one bad device after another. I just want a simple, cheap mini ITX with a Monitor and Keyboard/Mouse to Work!!

I stay in Bombay, and the service here is not on par. My only intent is to sell off my Toshiba Satellite L655D (it's like flogging a dead horse) , and get a decent kit to build my own mini itx, with my hands, screw driver and basic knowledge of hardware. I need to use Autocad for mechanical design and am really desperate to get a good system to run it. (No games , no hollywood effects , just mechanical software).

These are the Maximum specs I will be looking for till the next 5-6 years.

(C) Autodesk Website:

OR

Display Card Windows display adapter capable of 1024x768 with True Color capabilities. DirectX® 9 or DirectX 11 compliant card recommended but not required.

Pointing Device MS-Mouse compliant device
Plotter/Printer : system printer and HDI support
Media (DVD) Download and installation from DVD
ToolClips Media Player Adobe® Flash® Player v10 or up
.NET Framework .NET Framework Version 4.5

Please suggest which mini itx board (even a smaller factor will do), accessories, peripherals should I use to keep this on a very tight budget.

Here's what I already have:

(1) Windows 7 home Premium (US purchase),

(2) Keyboard and Mouse

(3)LED monitor (Samsung)

(4) Modem and Ethernet cables.

(5) Hardware set

(6) Grit :D

I would really appreciate the help guys!!

$150 for the motherboard and CPU.. I know that it will not even scratch the surface of high-tech requirements mentioned above, but then I wouldn't exploit full hd capacity of Autocad 2015 yet. I am licensed for Autocad 2012 and Solid Edge ST6.. Here are Siemens requirements:

64-bit (x64) processor
Windows 7 operating system
8 GB RAM or more
True Color (32-bit) or 16 million colors (24-bit)

What I want is optimal performance and endurance of that system.

Macs just work. They are hardly "bad devices" or they wouldn't sell for what they go for. Have you ever thought that you just don't know what you are doing? Plus I don't think you have ever even used a Mac because you said you are on an extremely low budget. Extremely low budget is another way of saying you can only afford junk.

Agreed. This is so confusing. OP wants a system for heavy graphics work, yet he is low budget. That's why can't really suggest.

chose the 6300 to stay within budget. the 8350 would also require an additional cooler.
