I'm deciding whether to go for this AMD build http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/cJNv23

or this intel build http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/cpVDmG

I plan to SLI and Overclock a fair bit ( as much as I could with a hyper evo 212 )

I'm not sure if these motherboard are good for SLI and decent overclocks

I play to do mostly gaming and streaming with the odd fraps record/video editing/rending, the usual
What build would I be better going for? value for money wise

Taking performance, upgradiblity, efficiency, value/money into mind, Intel build is the winner. AMD if you want a higher TDP, weaker CPU with a MoBo of a dead platform and no upgradibility whatsoever. Look up some benchmarks. i5 wins in any game. It also is faster in most video rendering softwares as quad core with solid single core performance is very much a plus point, and the CUDA cores helps as well.

What motherboard would you suggest for the AMD build? and is the intel build's motherboard ok for possible SLI and OC?

The MoBo in AMD build is fine for OCing, but why are you going for it in first place? And the MoBo is good for SLI and OCing in the Intel build.

i5 4690k is much better than fx 8350 in gaming performance it have much more strong single core performance fx 8350 has 8 cores but they are weaker.

"why are you going for it in the first place?" that is a question I can't really answer, I know very little about motherboard and what is good and bad, I know that when going for an intel you need a z97.. that's about it. the AMD and Intel motherboards can both take SLI that's the only thing I know about them, would you recommend any intel motherboards or AMD motherbaords?

You can put a 4th gen Intel on a H81/87/97 or Q87 or Z87/97 or B85 MoBo, you can OC only on Z MoBos. You can't SLI on any MoBo, weather AMD or Intel, unless you have 2 PCIe x16 ports running atleast on x8/x8 config with dual GPUs. SATA3 is very much a plus point for SSDs. Both the MoBos, on your builds, are SLI capable and good for OCing.

And I was asking why are you going for AMD build? It'll suck more power, give less performance, isn't upgradable, then why?

I'm going for the intel build but I was just curious about what happens with AMD just for general knowledge

Not a disaster but Intel presents more value for money. AMD right now pulls more current from the socket, needs to OC to match i5's performance, and still can't defeat, and i5 usually edges it in gaming. Moreover, the socket for FX, AM3+, is outdated, 3 years old to be precise, imagine getting a 2nd gen i5 right now. There's no scope of any major improvement on this socket, LGA1150 on the other hand is active, the Broadwell line of CPUs will support H/Z97 MoBos, and an i7 on upgrade will eliminate the competition against FX.
