Strange Block Pixelation

So iv'e been high and low on the internet, talking to techies and asking the world about this issue iv'e been dealing with on my PC with no luck in the world so I thought I would post my own thread and photo to see if anyone can help me considering I haven't seen anyone with this specific issue.

What's the issue? Since day one of building my computer (and my sisters of exactly the same components) I had a strange box of pixels appear after anywhere from half an hour to a couple of hours of running the comp on my screen. Sometimes they can be cleared with returning to the desktop and relaunching the game etc and sometimes they stay.

I already took my PC into the comp techies for them to stress test the CPU and GPU with no problems appearing but they gave me a brand new replacement card anyway with the issue still occurring and also on my sisters brand new PC like I mentioned. All temps and specs seem to be running perfectly normal.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? It's driving me insane and I don't really want to deal with the hassle of returning the card AGAIN to get a replacement of a different brand.

PC SPECS:
ASUS M5A97-R2 970 AM3 Motherboard (Motherboard)
AMD AM3+ x6 FX 6300 3.5GHz 6 Core (CPU)
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8G Kit DDR3 1866 (RAM)
ASUS R7 260X-DC20C 2GB (GPU)
Seagate 3.5" Barracuda 1TB (HDD)
500W PSU (Not sure of brand and make, can check if needed)

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you may have or give.

My guess is that this is a software problem (since the same issue is happening on 2 hardwares). It might be a graphical driver problem (do a clean reinstall, try one version before the one youre using as well (WHQL version of course)), a virus of a sort (try running a run of Malwarebytes) or a sort of a windows corruption (unlikely but reinstalling can help).

Also is the screen working alright? (since techy guys didnt notice anything). Maybe replacement monitor should be more fitting...

And it never hurts to stress test it yourself so you can see the actual data and for YOU to see what is actually going on (and sharing that data with us of course :p  ) so try running each of this (first 3 at least)
http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=205 (CPU, Prime 95)
http://www.memtest.org/ (ram, memtest)
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ (GPU, FurMark)
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/video_memory_st... (random Vram test)

Also is that thing happening only when youre gaming or what youre doing doesnt matter?

Hope it helps

Hey Tadej, thanks for the response.

Firstly, I built my sisters machine literally a day ago so chances of malware or virus' are very slim considering it's as fresh as it can get. Secondly, yes, I have used 3 or 4 different monitors and all work fine but with the same issue so I know it's definitely the computer. Third, I will get onto doing some stress testing as soon as I get back home and will let you know about the results. Lastly, seems to happen after there is any real GPU power being used like half an hour after launching a game (any game) or just under long use.

It is obviously something to do with the graphics in some way or form and iv'e read that people do seem to have an ongoing issue with this GPU weather it be my issue or not. Read a couple of other forums with this issue but none with answers to help.

Yeah their GPUs can be unstable at times since they always overclock them as hard as possible (and that can make them unstable since not every chip is the same, they don't set the voltage individualy and don't watch the heat). So downclocking can help (after you fire up those benchmarks) or getting some other brand GPU (though usually issues are black screens, program chrashes and blue screens).

But yeah, please inform us when you get home and we'll help as much as possible
