I started playing Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory again and every now and then it would crash as in computer would just simply turn off, and reboot after about a minute. I've come to think it is either a PSU problem or simply just over-heating.

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/MuCIuNBSj1e0474qD7Si... (Computer specs)

Basics:
OS: Windows 7 profession 64-bit SP1
CPU:Intel Core i7 4770K @ 3.50GHz
Motherboard:ASRock Z87 Killer (CPUSocket)
Ram:8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 666MH
Graphics: LCD TV (1440x900@60Hz) & 3072MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Storage:111GB Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120G SCSI Disk Device (SSD) &
2794GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA300 SCSI Disk Device (SATA

Currently my temperature is (idle):

CPU: 27C
Motherboard: 31C
GPU: 33C

While gaming i've had it reach 40 on the CPU and 50 on the GPU.

Game Properties since it's old:

Program is being ran in compatibility mode for Windows XP sp3
Disable Visual themes
Disable Desktop Composition
Run as administrator

I'm using a 750W PSU and Sapphire Radeon r9 280X GPU this is an old game that doesn't require a good gpu. Very minimal dust.

have you tried capping your FPS in wolfenstein?
I had this problem aswell, I would getover 999 fps sometimes and it would just crash.
also, you dont need to run it in compability mode, it runs just fone for me on windows 8.1.

and do you get a bluescreen? or it just restarts?

also, on a side note!
try et.kernwaffe.de
you'll find me there as tsuneobeard ;)
and there are some wolfenstein tet experts there so you could probably ask help there aswell. if it is a problem with the game ofc.it might also be something with the PC.

Never over-clocked a computer, PSU is my main concern I'm not sure if it's enough. as for blue screen I don't get it it literly just turns off the computer and restarts 30seconds later

EDIT* run at 125FPS

Wasn't able to download NFS due to internet issues however I played Skyrim instead and same result after about 30-40mins, so are we going with gpu or do you guys think it might be a psu problem? maybe if I buy a 1100W or something

Not sure if this is relevant going through my event viewer logs I saw three errors

Event 11 Wininit
Custom dynamic link libraries are being loaded for every application. The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure they are related to trusted applications.

Event 7026 Service Control Manager (This one is new, only saw when skyrim crashed)
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
cpuidlep

System 41- Kernal Power
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Event 1060 Application Popup (Again this is new, never saw this when enemy territory crashed, only skyrim)
\SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\cpuidlep.SYS has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

Run a virus scan . Uninstall some system monitoring tools.

PSU wasn't adequate, brought a 850W PowerSupply and now no issues. Thank you everyone.
