I was going to put off upgrading my Gigabyte GA-Z87-DS3H mobo till later when I can get another MSI GTX 970G4, but this the Asus mobo is on closeout at $151 and a $50 rebate on top of that. Newegg and TigerDirect are about $130 more for this board.
Of comparable price is also the:
MSI Z87-GD65 $120 plus a $30 rebate
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H $127 plus $20 rebate
MSI Z87 MPower Socket $119 plus $30 rebate
Not sure I want to wait for second GTX 970 card if I can get the ASUS at that price.
I like that the Asus and the MSI Mpower have wireless, but not imperative

Are these boards worth it and reliable?

Well the Asus is cheaper when the rebate is included, I thought the Asus or the MSI Mpower would keep me good for several years. As I said I have the I5 at the moment, will eventually upgrade because that one was part of a bundle, I have already upgraded the PSU to EVGA Supernova G2 750w from the poor Rosewill that was included. I am upgrading as funds and needs become available. I figure the CPU is fine for now.

Thanks but I got the ASUS MAXIMUS VI FORMULA for $101 at Microcenter which was better than half the price than Newegg and I returned a $40 ac wireless dongle since I won't need it.
Just thought for the price and future CPU and SLI upgrades couldn't pass at price
