Can the Nvidia Physx bring problems to the gameplay of others games where the program is not needed or if I'm using an AMD card? Because it's needed to play Borderlands 1 and I don't what program keeps interfering on my gameplays.

No it will not interfere and it's not needed in borderlands. You can just turn it off.

But if I try to launch Borderlands, it says: can't be launched because is missing physxcudart_20.dll

You can't have Phsyx if you have an AMD card. it's that simple.

You can have physx but it's done on the cpu. You can just google that error and see people just get the dll and it works fine. But I wouldn't recommend you turn on physx.

No I'm pretty sure PhysX is something you can ONLY get with an Nvidia GPU, but the the Physx processing can be done by the CPU if you have an Nvidia card.

Physics processing however is can be done by the CPU, whether you have AMD or Intel.

Physx is a proprietary technology of Nvidia.

Trust me when I say this: when you have an amd gpu, you can turn on physx and it's done on the cpu. You could always google, young grasshopper.

There are over 400 games with PhysX. None of these games require an Nvidia card, but all of them require that PhysX software is installed. If you don't have it installed when installing a PhysX game, it will install it for you. You likely saw the Nvidia PhysX drivers and wrongfully thought you should uninstall them.

PhysX is often misunderstood. Most people assume when PhysX is mentioned, that it means it is GPU accelerated, when the vast majority of them time, it is just a CPU run physics engine. In the few games with GPU accelerated PhysX, it is optional.

But I actually downloaded and I'm kind of obliged to have in order to play Mass Effect, Borderlands. While installing ME 2, the game automatically installed Nvidia Physx

Exactly man, you can see I said to the other buddy that ME 2 installed for me. But can that ruin in any way the game performance if I have an AMD card?

No, it won't effect game performance in games that don't use PhysX, and in games that do, it is required.

As long as you don't turn on GPU accelerated PhysX options, it will run the same with an AMD GPU as an Nvidia one.
