Hi everyone :)
I am very nontechnical so I will try to be clear as possible.

On my computer some of my games run very strangely, speed up game play or not starting up at all UNLESS I do the following.

When I turn on my PC I insert a ASRock CD, AMD-AMD Series into the computer. I am given the following options:

Select Source: 1. Generate the ACHI drive diskette for AMD SB710 Chipse
2.Generate the ACHI drive diskette for ASMedia 106X SATAHost controller
3. Exit

I then select exit and ALL my games run perfectly, but obviously I don't want to be dependent on the disk for my computers lifespan. So I want to know do either of the other 2 options be a permanent fix for this? I am very paranoid what might happen if I pick the wrong one :(

My Specs:
Processor AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor Video Card 1 ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics Video Card 2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Memory 7.9 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Thank you for any help, and again sorry if this is unclear :)  x

Hello again,

sorry for the delayed reply. I suggest you download and install all the drivers for your motherboard from the official website. Here is the link http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/980DE3U3S3/?cat=Download&o...

You can ignore the second tab called "Utilities" but make sure you install everything from the first tab called "Drivers".

I believe this should sort out your problems. Give it a try and let me know how did it go.
