with a first generation core i5
and Asus P7h55v
4gb ram
and Nvida GTX 460 1GB 256 Bit
320gb hdd
can i play all latest games at low settings for one year

Yah i would think it should. Maybe not games that come out a year from now. And i would recommend you play on 720p to get the best performance.

Off the top of my head i would say the gtx 750 ti would be a good choice it will blow away the 460 for around 150 dollars.

They are very similar performance wise but the 750 ti uses much less energy and stays much cooler so if they are the same price i would go with the 750 ti.
