I am considering the Acer E1-570G laptop with the configuration of:
1.8GHz Core i3 3217U processor
4GB DDR3 RAM
1TB Serial ATA Hard Drive
15.6-inch screen, NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M Graphics
Windows 8.1 operating system
How smoothly will the games run on this?

that cpu is really holding you back...dont expect to play any games that are even close to cpu demanding.. eg: battlefield 3 on medium 35+ fps but if you can change the cpu and it temps arnt a issue slighty overclock your gpu your looking at about high for 45+ fps at 1366x768 resolution. cheers!

The GPU is actually ok for low-medium gameplay at 1080p, or medium-high at 720p (at least on the latest games). It won't keep a steady 60 fps rate, but it'll be more than enough anyway. The real issue is the CPU here, as velo said, being an ULV chip. When it clocks down from TurboBoost, you're going to notice it...

The Gpu is descent. But with 1.8Ghz on your Cpu you won't come too far.

the cpu will hold a steady 2.5ghz on both cores. i have it but you can get more performance with throttle stop if temps are okay
