Switch from raid to ahci

Hello guys i just installed and sumsung evo 840 ssd with fresh windows 7 and i saw at the program of sumsung that i have to switch to ahci mode in sata.The problem is that i read many articles about that (going to regedit etc or bios) and i didnt find a solution does anyone now how can i switch?I have a dell xps8100 A05 and h57 chippset if i am no mistaken.Thenx a lot guys and sorry if i double thread

Does the system crash when you switch from RAID to AHCI?

I dont have ahci as a choice it doesnt even show up in bios only ATA and RAID

Then you have to keep it in RAID mode. Using Samsung's program is not an absolute must.

According to software i cant you use trim and i cant reach the full speed of the ssd thats why i tried to enable it

The SSD still is much faster than a hard disk and the average user can live without TRIM support.
