Hello! i want to build a gaming PC for $700. i don't need a hard drive. this will be mainly for very light to maybe medium gaming. the games i want to play are Minecraft, portal 1 and 2, half life 1 and 2. and lastly garry's mod. my main focus is minecraft. i was hoping for this build to be built inside the bitfenix prodigy case, but if its not, i will gladly accept any other sized case. i was thinking of a i5 and 270x or gtx 760 ( im only running 1 1080p monitor) . i do not need and os, no peripherals, or anything just the pc. thank you!

That one is great,go for it.
Purpose of the AF cooler is because I absolutely hate the stock cooler.Loud and doesn't cool well. The NH-L9i is exactly oppostite of the stock heatsink.Very quiet, but cools really really well. ;)

i did some editing to your build, i saw that the i5 4590 was available in my area for $160 in the micro center, changed out the case for the white one, i prefer the white one and its cheaper. the build is now down to $660. what other changes do you recommend? and what is the purpose of the aftermarket cooler? here is the edited list btw

since i have $40 left over, what should it go too? a better gpu or cpu? (ik im moving up to a psu with more watts) a better gpu would be the r9 280x DirectCU II from asus or the i5 4690k since the games i play are more cpu intensive than gpu?

You don't need a graphics card more powerful than a GTX 750 Ti to run those games you mentioned.
And the 4590 is powerful enough to handle any game you throw at it.
Use that $40 to buy a gift for your GF(if you have one) or use that when going out with your friends. ;)
