Hi Guys,

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 GHz E6600, my motherboard supports at max the E6700 and not any more, so i heard that you can put newer cpu if bios is updated, so it goes with the date the cpu is made, e.x my bios release date is 10/11/2007 and you think i can put the E6850 3.0 GHz in it ? It's release date is July/2007 ?

My PC Manufacturer site if needed:

Your motherboard's Q965 chipset supported FSBs is up to 1066MHz, but the E6850 has a 1333MHz FSB. You could flash the BIOS and give it a try if the CPU is free.
