A 970 would be the best deal. It outperforms a 290X most of the time.

A 970 would be the best for you and very very good on the performance side VERY good you ask why not 980? becqause it is just a wast of money for that it is just a little bit better and that is not comparible to the 200 dollars difference but yur choice but dont get the 770 JUST DONT is is old and has low performance compared to the 970 and 980 and you which one of the cards out should you get for the

970: msi:http://us.msi.com/product/vga/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html#he... evga:http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-297... but i go with the msi

980: evga:http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-298... msi: http://us.msi.com/product/vga/GTX-980-GAMING-4G.html#he... and again i go with the msi

at the end i suggest going with the 970 and then in a mount or two get another one an do 2-way sli if your mobo supports it so it is basicly like this

2x970>1x980 and 2x970:750 max 1x 980 :550 at least in pound it is under 370 so but your choice but just go for the 970 it will give PLENTY of performance so cheers and good luck on your new card.

Get the GTX 970, but i'd wait a month for them to fix any bugs or issues with the card. It's fairly new
