So I am looking to get another monitor and make my current monitor the second monitor in my set up. I will be running a r9 280x and a 7970 in crossfire. My budget is $300 (max). My usual games are not fps, but i do play bf4. My current monitor is an acer x233.

I am concerned that moving from an old Tn panel to an ips panel will be annoying if i have frame shudder from the lower hertz. However my current tn only does 60hz and it is fine. My next question/problem is whether to go with something bigger that 1920x1080. I would not mind going with something bigger but I don't know if I have the gpu power to drive my games a max on a lager screen. I would like to be at 24-27 inches I do watch a lot of movies on my computer and having a better tilt and swivel would be nice. I also need buyers advice on what brands and specs (links would be nice).

1.What Is Your Country Of Origin? usa

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.)
I will be using this for games and movies.

3. What resolution and screen size do you want?
I am not sure refer to the above. Maybe a 2560 x 1440 or 1920x1080

4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.)
well 60hz for sure maybe higher if a tn panel

5. How much are you looking to spend?
$300 ( there is a little bit of wiggle room just have to save longer.

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. )
What ever meets my needs and is reliable.

7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why)? None

8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor? No

9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable?
I am not sure how many it can support I have a sapphire dual x 7970, and a sapphire r9 280x vapor x. Gpu drivers catalyst 13.12.

10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc).
DVI or display port for the new monitor. The old monitor can run hdmi or dvi.

11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display? The new monitor will be the primary display.

12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop? NO

Would recommend this monitor:

144hz, 1ms response time, 1080p - 27", Display Port, etc.

Or

IPS, 1080, 5ms response time, 60hz

Or

ok so the first one doesn't really hit me well, not sure about a tft panel. I also haven't heard of aoc, maybe that is just me they may be great.

the second one is not bad in the 27" version, but it doesnt have display port. also not a lot of movement options on the screen.

on the third one it is nice that it has a versa mount but it doesnt have dvi and the stand has no ability to move. other than the fact that I haven't heard of aoc it is not bad. I don't really want speakers, and at the price I would rather have the acer.

I have also be looking at these.
from most likely to least

my only concern on the larger format is if my two graphics cards will be able to power the games for this resolution. I have a r9 280x and a 7970 in crossfire.
