How to use my Laptop to set up my wifi to my Toshiba

Sorry if my verbiage is incorrect, but I cannot manually set up my wifi to my Toshiba TV. I have tried what the user manual has said to do, but it wont work. My only other option is to use the pin and input it into my computer. But I dont know how to do that. Is there a website to use? What steps am i missing? The user manual for my TV doesnt give instructions to help. Im so lost! Thank you for your help in advance.

Model number is 40S51U and the router is AT&T...is that what you're asking? :) and my MacBook and phone are connected to the Wifi

0. do you have the same manual? http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=3051454
1. do you get a good WiFi signal with your phone / MacBook near the TV? The TV might simple be out of range?
2. did you try the automatic / assisted or manual setup method?
3. do you have all the details, like the SSID, 2.4 or 5GHz and so on?
4. What exactly doesn't work?
