how to overclock intel pentinum E5400 2.4 gh processor

hello....
i am trying to overclock an old casual pc for some medium end gaming and videos
intel pentinum E5400 2.4gh to 3.6gh can anyone help
and show me how to overclock this processor safely with normal temperature.......
mobo-intel g41 combo
ram-2 gb ddr2
gpu-intel G41 express chipset

You cant its a locked processor and even if it was not locked that motherboard probably wouldn't allow it.

You can overclock, don't know where your coming from Dunlop, but his cpu is from the core 2 age.

Sure you can't overclock via multiplier, but you can via FSB (front side bus).

I recommend looking on google for a core 2 duo (same oc applies to Pentium e5400) overclocking guide.

However, Dunlop might be right on that motherboard since it looks old.

Yes you are right my bad i figured it was locked. But i cant imagine a stock intel mobo bios even giving you the option the tweak the FSB.
