That is an Ivy Bridge CPU. It will not work with Z97, as Z97 is 1150 and Ivy Bridge is 1155.

1st no. always say which generation it is for eg.
1st 3 of 3350 says its 3rd generation codename ivy bridge.
If it would have been i5- 4690 then it means 4th generation i.e. Haswell architecture.

For ur processor as previously said by others, u would require a motherboard having a LGA1155 socket. The z97 is the chipset of the motherboard with 1150 socket, so not for u. U should go for motherboards with chipset no.s: B75, Q75, Z75, Q77, H77 or Z77. depending on ur use. z chipsets are specially for overclocking(O.C.), so if u going to O.C. go for Z77 otherwise H77 will be the soln.
Hope this helps:)
