well of course, they wouldn't put a cable in with the graphics card if it couldn't run it.

The card has 2 slots, can one still run it? The 6 pin has 2 molex so i think its the equivalent of 2 6 pin with one molex

If the card has two connections for PCIe power connections, you have to use two. The PCIe to 2xmolex connections is just in case your PSU doesn't have 2x PCIe power connectors. You have to power the card with as many connections as it has on the card.

It was a common problem with the CX500 series as they don't come with enough 6 pin connections , Still you can use Molex to 6 pin connections to achieve stable power to your system.

N.B : Its preferred to use connections of the same type.

Regardless of the origin on the 6 pin (Adapters or PSU cables) You should always use the given amount.

In your case, you must use TWO 6pin cables. I recommend not using adapters either, they arent nearly the same quality or stability compared to 6pin.
Look into a new PSU, the CX lineup is known for lower quality caps that tend to fail often, in addition to their lack of sufficient cables.

I have a question, do you have to connect both molex to a slot or one, cuz if i am to get another adapter i only have 2 to use instead of the 4 if it does need both.

The 6pin requires both molex connections.
