I have two monitors connected with my custom pc (Nvidia Geforce GTX 980) im trying to make the sounds work on the monitor the program is running on. for an example:
first monitor is running a game lets says Sims 3 and the second monitor is running google chrome (youtube). what i want to do is that the first monitor have sims 3 sound and the second monitor have the youtube sound (music).
So basically i want the monitor that have an application1 on it play the music for application1 on the same monitor while the other monitor have application2 on it plays application2 sound.
i hope you guys can help me with this.
thanks

To my knowledge, it's not possible anymore. Ever since Windows Vista, you cannot have more than one active audio device. So you cannot have HDMI audio going to display one and motherboard audio going to display two at the same time. It's either/or.

The only way I know to do that would be if the audio source, say the HDMI output of the graphics card, was then split between the two displays. Of course, this would mean the two display was always show the same content all the time.
