Hello.

I've been wanting getting a gaming PC for a while and I've got a chance now. My budget would be €600 - €800 (£471 - £628). I live in Ireland so I'd want to be able to get the parts here or online. I don't have a Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard or Copy of Windows so please take them into account. I hope to be able to play games like BF4 at 1080p on High or even Ultra settings if possible. I'm not pushed to get an extremely high-end mouse or keyboard but I've heard good things about the Microsoft Sidewinder X4. Hopefully a decent ~20 inch monitor as well. I know this looks a bit tight but this would be my first PC and there seem to be quite a lot of experts on here so I'll give it a try.

Thanks in advance! ^^

use komplett, amazon and overclockers UK for delivery I live Ireland too and they all were very good with delivery times. The mouse is quite good if you dont like the colour look on amazon for the 2000IB and the keyboard seems decent and I use the moniter myself it's cheap and cheerful also look on a place called G2A for windows you can get much cheaper windows keys there I saw one for £11 one time!. XFX make good quality PSU's and the case is nice and cheap but good quality as well. The MOBO supports OCing if you want to overclock the processor but get a better cooler before you do eg hyper 212 evo. The GPU will power straight through games at high to ultra settings and for a good few years to come at 1080p. on the ssd make sure to put your os and main programs maybe a game or 2 if it has space but keep carful watch over space on it

forgot the link the first time lol:)

This is probably the best your gonna get for your money! Except i would get windows 7. Windows 8 eats RAM, it sometimes causes freezing and it is just plainly horrible UI tbh

windows 8 is fine it's faster then windows 7 and you will get a free upgrade to windows 10 when it's out a pretty good deal in my opinion also I use both windows 8 and 7 so I know them both well.

You need to update your bios and OC your CPU PLZ xD

I think r9 270x should be enough for you.

Good luck on your first build!

Ray.

You can change your preferred case, too!
I love that case, but that doesn't mean you do.

It is a little bit expensive, though...

Of course, silly! ^_^ I'm guessing that your Desktop has better specs than your laptop too, correct? You can't compare an OS on a fast system to an OS on a slower system. And it probably is worthwhile if 10 is better than 8 ;)

Thank you all so much! :)
I think I'll most likely go with filippi's build as it's only €30 over my budget.
Ray your build is nice but a bit too far over my budget - €100 over. :S
I'm a bit hard pressed and not sure If I'll even be allowed to spend this much of my money on a PC (I'm 14) but I see this as a good investment :p
I really appreciate what all of you have put in ^^
Thanks!

This is true... and it isn't hard to remove the start screen.

I actually thought I had typed that in too whoops. But my desktop is so much faster on startup times windows 8 is definitly faster and I have an i5 in both.

What about this it's a smaller ssd but you get an i3 instead of the pentium and the i5 doesn't give so much extra performance in games but the ssd will give huge bonus in system performance. Also I changed all the prices to amazon except OS because it's a lot extra from there but as I said before look on g2a for the OS.

imho for gaming rigs i5-4430 is more important than a SSD. This CPU will keep min FPS and average FPS high enough for any AAA 2014 game. SSD wont help there.

In a nutshell: SSD is for faster loading, i5 is for faster playing :D

true enough I guess, the lowest fps is noticable lower on benchmarks so yeah I guess, I recently got an ssd and it made so much difference thats why I recommended it so much
