Hello, so i am a first time builder, an have been working on my parts list for a while now, i thought i would just check that all my parts were in order and of a good quality. I plan to overclock my cpu. I am not a serious pc gamer, but like to plan games like Lol, Minecraft and CS GO. I am working under price constraints so if you suggest a partplease make sure it is a simular price to the one you are replacing!

The biggest thing I'll comment on is that 550W isn't a ton of overclocking headroom with an FX processor. You're looking at around 300W just between the CPU and GPU, and FX processors can draw a ton more power when overclocked. The rest of the parts look good and probably around best values for your build.

The corsair CX series are really lacking the quality the XFX 550 is made by Seasonic and is plenty of power for that PC.

Your build looks very typical.

My understanding is that minecraft is primarily a single threaded game.
That means that most of the 6 cores of the FX-6300 will not be used. And.. the fx cores are slow.
Don't know about CS GO. My preference would be to use a intel chip.
