I am getting an HTPC built for me. 800 dollars or below is my budget. I am getting Syber build off of Cyberpower PC. I have built computers in the past but I don't feel like building this one. Here is what I am building. What is my best decision for a configuration? I still want to be able to play most games on my steam library.

Solution

For the system you are looking at, I'd say not bad. The 270X should be a decent bump in performance, especially for only 17 bucks. The 600W PSU will leave you open for future GPU upgrades should you decide to do something like that.

The SSHD will be nice, especially if you can make it the master drive, which is where the performance increases from having it will shine.

For an HTPC there is no reason for a 10,000rpm HDD, I would get either a 7,200rpm drive or a SSHD.
I would change the PSU to a 80+ Bronze or Silver model as that will be sufficient.
Since you are getting a GPU anyways, maybe change the CPU to a FX model and a fitting motherboard.

Thank-you though I am not sure what I would choose for AMD. I don't know much about AMD. My current build is Intel and that is what I have built with for a long time.

Here is the custom configure. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/SYBER_VAPOR_A\

Anything below 800 would be awesome!

Only changes I would make from that stock build would be:

HIS R9 270 GPU (which you did before and qualifies for the NSS Gold game package)
8gb 1600mhz RAM, specify the G.Skill Ripjaws
450W PSU

Puts the build at $739. The Athlon 840 is a pretty decent CPU, basically a APU without the iGPU.

Making it 600w, but instead of 2 HDD, it would be cheaper to go with the single 2tb, 7200rpm. (2tb drive is a free holiday upgrade from the 1tb.) If you prefer 2 HDD's, that will put you over the $800 mark. $790 now, with the 600W and 2tb HDD.

I would say to go to the R9 270X for the extra $17, but it has a stock cooler and those can get noisy. If the noise is not a big issue for you, it would be a nice upgrade. (takes the build to $807)

So:
$790 =
HIS R9 270 GPU
8gb 1600mhz RAM, specify the G.Skill Ripjaws
2tb HDD
600W PSU

or

$807
HIS R9 270X GPU
8gb 1600mhz RAM, specify the G.Skill Ripjaws
2tb HDD
600W PSU

I already own an extra sshd at home which I am going to use in this build. I wont be purchasing an extra hardrive off cyberpower. Sorry I forgot to metion that. That is why I want 600watts. I will be installing the extra hardrive myself.

I would rather just build my own. What do you suggest? Many of these retailers seem like they are over charging. I would just buy off a newegg. I need an Itx Case the size of an xbox one. An AMD Processor. I am going to put my gtx 650 ti from my current computer in this one and put a more powerful gpu in my current desktop. My budget is 600 dollars.

Assuming you use your SSHD and the 650ti you mentioned(you need to check length and width restrictions on the case), that should fill the rest of the parts. I didn't add keyboard/mouse as I figured you would want to pick ones you like. $549.49 total, Including all discounts and rebates. However, not all parts are from Newegg.com, but there is likely the options to choose newegg, but at a higher price..
